Chernobyl Trip Part Eight - Police and Fire Station

Pripyat Police Station
The police station was about a 5 minute drive from the Pripyat hotel and administration buildings, but that didn't stop the wild dogs adorably chasing our car the whole time! The police station itself was quite small, there was a compact reception room with a holding cell, leading to 6 single cells. At the end of the corridor was what looked like a car port, leading to a large car yard.

Fire Station
Out the back of the police station yard was the fire station. Again, it was quite small and consisted of four engine bays with service pits. There were a few rooms filled with mechanical parts and spares. One was full of bottles, the contents of which had long gone.
And that concludes our first day!
It was really, really exhausting; The temperature was mid to high twenties the whole day and, to be honest, we were quite happy this was the last place! We arrived back at the hotel around 7pm, had some dinner which to our surprise and delight only contained one course of cabbage. As we headed back to our room there was a huge thunder storm circling above us, it felt just like an emission event for S.T.A.L.K.E.R., but thankfully we slept through most of it as tomorrow would be even tougher...
